Building St. Paddy's Day Cards with Rinea Foiled Paper by Jenn DuBell
Hello everyone! Jenn here sharing some fun St. Paddy's Day cards with you today! I just love the whimsical figures and colors for this holiday and Rinea Foiled Papers are just the right touch to create beautiful cards and home decor projects to celebrate it!
For my first card I have used a white cardstock base that cut down measures 4 3/4 X 6. Using a cute little die from my stash I cut a total of three times using one sheet of each of these foiled papers:
Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper
Gold Starstruck Foiled Paper
Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
For the background strip I embossed a strip of Gold Foiled paper using a dotted embossing folder.

To build the shamrock I adhered the outside shamrock die cut onto heavy black cardstock. The inner portions were paper pieced using the jade and gold pieces.
Once dry I cut this out and set it aside to build the base.
For the second card I have used an Ivory Cardstock base that also measures 4 3/4 X 6.
Using a heart shaped nesting die set I cut several hearts using the following foiled papers:
Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper
Gold Starstruck Foiled Paper
Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Jade Starstruck Foiled Paper
Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
I used a border die to cut the Emerald Foiled paper, cut it in 2 and adhered it to my card front spaced a few inches a part followed by my strip of checkered paper.
To build my shamrock focal point on this card I used 6 of the die cut hearts 3 large and 3 small. I cut the stem from a scrap of Emerald Starstruck and then added an Emerald tiny shamrock die cut.
For a finishing touch I stamped Happy ST. Paddy's Day! in the bottom corner.
Because the foiled papers are so flexible I was able to bend up the gold hearts to add dimension to my shamrock on this card.
The foiled paper adds a beautiful shine element to any project!
