Create a Masculine Grungy Card by Jenn DuBell

Create a Masculine Grungy Card by Jenn DuBell | Rinea

Hello everyone! Jenn here sharing an adorable "grungy" masculine card using Rinea Foiled papers with "Arthur", a colorize die by Tim Holtz. I have wanted to try to build one of these using foiled papers and now that I have I just love it! I have used the following foiled papers for this:
Earth Tones Foiled Paper Variety Pack
Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Marigold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
T
he Earth Tones were used for most of Arthur with the exception of some tan cardstock used for variation on his claws, eyes, and chest. The Emerald and Jade Foiled papers were used for his eyes.
Behind him I have placed a piece of the Copper/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper that I have embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder called Foundry. This was distressed using black acrylic paint before adhering to my background paper.

Paint with black acrylic paint that has been watered down just a little bit and then gently wipe off to leave only black in the edges and crevices of the embossed piece.

My card base is black cardstock that is 5 1/4 X 6 3/4. I adhered a piece of designer paper to the front of the card followed vy the distressed, embossed Copper Foiled paper piece.
Next I built the colorize die on a heavy cardstock and once dry I fussy cut. I adhered him to my card using foam adhesive for dimension and then added the snarky words. His hat is a stamp that I also fussy cut and added after stamping in black and embossing with clear embossing powder.

Such a fun project with a very satisfying result!
