How To Decorate A Plain Gift Box With Rinea Foiled Papers

Hello everyone! Jenn here and I am so excited to be here for another term to share my inspiration with you using the amazing Rinea Foiled Papers!

Today I have turned an ordinary cardboard gift box into one I would be proud to use for a gift.

Using some dies, embossing folders, and washi tape;this box went from plain to pretty!

Supplies used:
Jade/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Jade/Jade Starstruck Foiled Paper
Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Gold/Gold Starstruck Foiled Paper
Marigold/Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper
Ruby/Ruby Starstruck Foiled Paper
Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
3D Rolled Star Die Set

Other Supplies:
Scenic washi tape
Embossing Folders
Tags or dies to create them
Happy Birthday dies
Leaf Sprig Dies
The products I used for dies and embossing folders are:
Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits Dies Set Brushstroke Flowers #3 (The gold sprigs on top of the box)
Sizzix 3D texture Fades Folder by Tim Holtz -  Foliage (Panels of box and lid)

To decorate the box....
First, prepare the bow using your choice of at least three colors of foiled papers.
I have used Jade Starstruck, Marigold Starstruck, Ruby Starstruck, and Ruby Glossy for mine. FOllow the instructions on the die package to create one half of a star.

Next we will decorate the entire box using embossed foiled papers in Jade and Gold Glossy Foiled Papers.

Emboss your foiled papers and then prepare the box by placing the lid on and drawing a pencil line all around. This mark is used to reference where to cut the foiled papers as shown in the photos below. Cut the embossed foiled papers to fit the size of box you are using. Be sure to add about 1/8" on all sides to allow for wrapping and softening edges. Once cut adhere with glue making sure to gently wrap the sides of each panel to soften them.



Add decorative washi to the lid and bottom of box to add interest.

**Tip** I added some collage medium with my finger to the washi to make it adhere better and smooth it.

Use dies or stamps to embellish 2 tags with a sentiment such as Happy Birthday.

For my tags I added some of the same decorative washi that was used on my box.

Now your ready to add that beautiful bow!
