Poinsettia Embroidery Hoop Wreath by Roni

I love making wreathes to decorate my home for each holiday and with Christmas quickly approaching I thought it would be fun to make a wreath using one of the vintage embroidery hoops in my stash (that I've been hoarding!).

Rinea's Jolly Foiled Paper Variety Pack is perfect for creating these lovely poinsettias with a bit of help from Imagine and their amazing line of products it's a winning combination.

To begin -

Cut 2 large, 3 medium and 3 small poinsettia pieces from Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper; cut 2 large and 1 medium poinsettia pieces from Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. You will also need to cut 3 flower centers (color does not matter).

Use a silicone fondant leaf veining mold to give each petal lovely texture and form by positioning the petal in the bottom portion of the mold then gently press the top portion over the bottom. The results are instant and lasting as the foiled paper easily holds the shape. Repeat until each petal/leaf has been textured.

Next apply Electric Yellow Radiant Neon Amplify! medium to each of the three flower centers. Heat to activate the medium.

First center is immediately after the medium was applied, second was after the medium was heated.

Assemble each flower by threading each set of petals onto a brad securing the prongs on the back. Affix a flower center over the brad. Set the assembled flowers aside.

Die-cut scallop rectangle mat from Silver/Silver Starstruck foiled paper; die-cut stitched rectangle from plain white cardstock. Stamp "Noel" and flowers using VersaFine Clair and Memento inks.

Dye rayon seam binding using Fireworks! Spray Inks.
